Join Our Team at Brown Iron Brewhouse Tex-Mex BBQWe have transitioned our space into a brand-new concept, and we're looking for high-energy people to help us bring it to life! We have launched into a spirited, Southwestern-inspired restaurant and bar that is heavily BBQ-forward, where the vibe is casual and modern. While we're evolving our identity, we're dedicated to keeping the quality- not just in the ingredients, but with our staff as well! The menu contains things like slow-cooked meats, Tex-Mex and Southwestern inspired dishes, and some fan favorites from our other restaurants. This will be a menu that is inclusive of gluten-free and allergen-friendly diets, so we're looking for people who are as committed as we are to providing a safe environment for the guests who have these requests. On the bar side, we will have many kinds of beers, a menu of crafted cocktails, and a heavy focus on fresh margaritas. We need a team that is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and genuinely enjoys the hospitality industry as we aren't looking for corporate robots; we want people with personality- Especially people who can help us establish a new culture from day one, and people who can make the workplace feel like a haven, rather than a chore. Come join our team, and let's get this money together!Responsibilities:Create a guest-forward atmosphere, where the guest and their experience are the sole focusPrepare handcrafted margaritas, Southwestern-inspired cocktails, and pour craft beers with speed and precisionProvide full-service dining at the bar top and tables, including food service and menu descriptionsMaintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all timesVerify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age and practice responsible alcohol servicePrep house-made syrups, fresh juices, and garnishes dailyManage bar tabs and process payments accurately in a fast-paced environmentEngage with guests to create a welcoming atmospherePreferred:Strong knowledge of craft beer, tequila, and classic cocktailsEnjoy and have the ability to create/collaborate on cocktail menus and featured drinksRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent, and must be at least 21 years or olderProven experience bartending, hospitality, and restaurant experience with knowledge of food serviceProficient in basic computer and math skillsStrong teamwork, conflict resolution, and communication skillsAbility to work efficiently behind a busy bar while prioritizing guest's needsBeing able to maintain a high level of hospitality and friendly demeanorStrict adherence to measured pours and recipe standards to ensure consistencyPhysical stamina to stand, reach, and lift kegs or cases of liquor throughout a shiftAbility to communicate effectively with managers, team members, and guestsCicerone Certified Beer Server certification within 90 days of hire dateDeep understanding of food allergies and a commitment to following strict cross-contamination protocols, and ability to be trainedAvailability to work nights, weekends, and some holidaysSERVSAFE/TIPS certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 daysWillingness to participate in trainings regarding alcohol, allergens, pairings, menus, etc.Fluency in EnglishDriver's license and reliable transportationDesire and ability to be cross-trained in other areas of the restaurantWhy Join Our Team?Opportunity to work in a Tex-Mex cantina inspired smokehouse with a positive atmosphereFlexible schedule options, including weekend availability and day/night shiftsCompetitive pay ranging from $750-$1250 weekly between hourly ($5.49) + tipsFull-time and part-time positions availableFull time offers benefit package
