An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a district-wide maternity leave during the spring semester. Serving multiple elementary campuses, you’ll collaborate closely with a district Occupational Therapist to deliver quality care across varied school environments. This full-time role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on pediatric experience in a supportive educational setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current, active COTA license for South Carolina is required
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Comfort traveling between multiple school locations throughout the workweek
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to varying student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT services to students at assigned schools (9-10 students per day, 30-minute sessions each)
• Work in collaboration with the district’s Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all sessions
• Support students’ educational goals by helping them develop necessary motor and daily living skills
• Communicate and consult regularly with educators, caregivers, and other support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress monitoring
