Competitive compensation and bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package Professional development and mentorship opportunities Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment Opportunity to work on high-profile construction and commercial matters throughout Florida Job Details Responsibilities Handle all phases of construction litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts and related agreements Represent clients in matters involving construction defects, delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, mechanics liens, breach of contract claims, insurance and indemnity issues Provide strategic legal counsel and risk management guidance to clients Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, and briefs Manage case files and maintain strong client communication throughout the litigation process Collaborate with partners, associates, experts, and consultants on complex matters Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active membership in the Florida Bar 3+ years of construction law and/or commercial litigation experience preferred Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills Experience with depositions, hearings, and dispute resolution processes Familiarity with Florida construction law, lien law, and AIA contract documents preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment Preferred Skills Construction defect litigation experience Arbitration and mediation experience Strong client relationship and business development skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Our location in Sarasota focuses mostly on: Construction litigation HOA/condo turnover claims Commercial litigation Real estate disputes Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
