Court Interpreter Position

Los Angeles Superior Court is seeking dynamic, well-qualified, and highly-motivated individuals to fill full-time (A-Status), part-time (C-Status), and hourly as needed (F-Status) Court Interpreter positions. Under supervision, Court Interpreters perform a wide variety of language interpretation activities on an assigned and as-needed basis for Los Angeles Superior Court and for persons doing business with the courts. Incumbents perform duties as an interpreter for courtroom and other legal proceedings, which may include, but are not limited to arraignments, preliminary hearing, pre-trial conference and court trials. This position is not eligible for telework.

SALARY

Full-time (A-Status): $7,365.73 - $8,435.09 Monthly

Part-time (C-Status): $338.66 - $387.82 Full Day $187.45 - $214.66 Half Day

Hourly as needed (F-Status): $42.33 - $48.48 Hourly

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:

  • Certified as a Court Interpreter in a designated language in Los Angeles County by the Judicial Council of California.
  • Registered as a Court Interpreter in a non-designated language in Los Angeles County by the Judicial Council of California.
