Industrial Spray PainterThe Industrial Spray Painter must perform tasks involving operation and set up of materials to be spray painted. The Painter should have proper knowledge of mixing paints, use of airless and pressure pot equipment, and proper cleaning of the equipment used. The Painter is expected to keep their area safe and free of hazards.Qualifications & Skills:Must have good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balanceMust be able to read and understand warning signs and labels in a manufacturing setting, be able to interpret written instructions and specificationsShould be capable of working as a member of a team and have basic problem-solving, math skills, and use measuring instrumentsResponsibilities & Duties:Follow direction and instructions of SupervisorAbility to complete required documentation when needed and record amount of paint used per jobPrepare, operate and troubleshoot equipment for the paint shopPrepare parts and paints as needed per requirementsMaintains paint booths, lights and filtersInspect finished products, provide input and problem solve when neededAssist co-workers when neededOperate hand truck, forklift, and other material handling equipment when neededPerform other related duties incidental to the work described hereinPhysical Requirements:Meet D. L. George & Sons medical, drug and alcohol qualificationsMust pass a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) for the ability to wear a respiratorAbility to operate in a paint shop environment up to 12 hours per day, 40 to 50 hours per weekMajority of work requires standing, walking, bending and climbing laddersHandle material weighing up to 50 pounds with minimal assistanceD.L.
