Summary: The Processing Operator is responsible for processing (mixing and blending) of liquid and dry materials into containers according to customer specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other Duties may be assigned.
- Read, interpret, and follow batching and packaging instruction sheets.
- Obtain raw materials from staging area.
- Measure raw materials and mix according to batching instructions.
- Package finished goods or Work-in-Process into containers specified.
- Label containers.
- Seal and palletize products.
- Record information regarding raw material usage and finished products on packaging sheets and pallet summaries.
- Clean up around area.
- Clean out tanks and filling equipment.
- Batching operators may be asked to fulfill packaging job duties when necessary.
- Drive Forklift.
- Operate hoists.
- Dispose of waste materials properly.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Processing Operators may be responsible for assisting with training and supervision of temporary or new employees.

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Georgia Work Ready Test required. Minimum Work Ready Scores: Graphic Literacy: 3, Applied Math: 4, Workplace Documents: 3.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret packaging sheets and SDSs. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and visitors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret bar graphs. Ability to read and interpret scales.
