Job Summary

Join a dynamic Emergency Department team in Corvallis, Oregon, dedicated to providing comprehensive care for a diverse patient population. This facility welcomes all patients, whether arriving via walk-in or emergency transport, ensuring immediate attention for a wide spectrum of medical needs.

The Emergency Department manages conditions ranging from non-critical to emergent medical situations, including urgent and emergent mental health crises. Staff are highly skilled and certified to provide critical care for cardiac, trauma, and pediatric patients, ensuring a high standard of care across all acuity levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions, from non-critical to emergent.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in an emergency setting, including triage and stabilization.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient responses according to established protocols.
• Manage critical cardiac and trauma cases, including pediatric emergencies, utilizing specialized certifications and skills.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required for moderate complexity testing per CAP requirements).
• Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
