Bridge InspectorRK&K is currently hiring a Bridge Inspector to join our Construction, Engineering, and Inspection (CEI) team in Tallahassee Florida. This position is in our Construction Management group which oversee the contractor's operations on roadway and bridge construction projects.Essential FunctionsAssisting the Project Administrator or Senior Inspector in daily bridge/roadway inspectionEnsuring contractor compliance alongside quality controlPerforming verification inspections and testing as requiredThese tests and inspections include, but are not limited to: earthwork, asphalt, concrete, bridge and miscellaneous structures, toll facilities, lighting, signalization, environmental compliance, maintenance of traffic, etc.This position receives general supervision and instruction from the Senior Inspector and/or Project AdministratorRequired Skills and ExperienceHigh school graduate or equivalentTwo (2) years' experience in roadway construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge/roadway construction.CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level ICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level ICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level ICTQP Pile Driving InspectionCTQP Final Estimates Level IPreferred Skills and ExperienceBS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institutionCTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection Required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sing, lighting and traffic signal structure foundationsPhysical Demands:This role requires the ability to perform field inspections on active construction sites. The employee must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, navigate uneven terrain, and climb ladders or stairs. Ability to lift and carry inspection equipment and materials weighing up to 20–30 pounds on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation.
